2020 may look a bit different from past years, but I'm still looking forward to the holidays and all the gift giving that comes with it! Giving during the holidays doesn't have to be stressful or financially straining. This guide features amazing gifts for smaller budgets (under $50) that still want to give some holiday cheer. Best gift of all? All of the items listed can be found at San Diego shops and boutiques, so you can g...

If you follow me on Instagram (@SeldomlyStill), then it comes as no surprise that I love wine and enjoying it with pretty much anyone. When you think about the perfect day in San Diego, there's a very good chance that one of the places listed below would be a part of that. Without further ado, here are my favorite wine spots:

For date night:

Wet Stone (Bankers Hill)

It's intimate, quiet, and the lighting is on point!  What...

Creating new relationships can be hard to do these days which is why Erin Shelton of Tipper and Co., a lifestyle brand, creates pop-up dinner events centered around guests becoming friends.

Welcome to the latest dining experience outside of traditional restaurants. Launched in May, Tipper and Co.'s monthly private dinners are aptly named TO/GATHER. I was lucky enough to attend their most recent dinner last month at...

I recently enjoyed a dining experience at Parc Bistro-Brasserie located on 5th Avenue in Bankers Hill.

My husband and I were transported to another world upon entry. The charming curb appeal+decor, soft lighting, and live music all set the stage for what would end up being an unforgettable evening.

Parc has an extensive wine list, which includes a sommelier section, so upon being sat at our table we left our selection in the c...

Since moving from North Park to Point Loma two years ago, I've had a lot of fun exploring San Diego's favorite peninsula.  Point Loma has long been known as a residential community, but recently chefs/restauranteurs have put down roots in this coastal neighborhood.  Without further ado, here's a list of my Top 5 favorite restaurants in PL:

5. The 3rd Corner Wine Shop & Bistro - 2265 Bacon St

This is by far the bes...

The best restaurant outside of San Diego might not be in Orange County or even Los Angeles.  It just might be Misión 19, a restaurant at the center of the Baja Med food movement.  Located a few floors up in a LEED certified building, Misión 19 and its chef/owner, Javier Plascencia, are one of the main reasons people have been venturing south of the border for the past 6+ years.

My husband and I were recent...

I'm all about that Italian lifestyle.  The kind of life where you sit in a piazza, people watch, eat cheese, and drink wine.  Little Italy's newest addition, Frost Me Cafe and Bakery, allows you to do just that.

I was recently invited to a tasting event in their beautiful space.  They're already well known for their one-of-a-kind cupcakes at their original Seaport Village location, Frost Me Gourmet.  Their Little Ital...

I recently decided to give cupping a try. For those of you who don't know what cupping is, it's a an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts cups on your skin.  The suction from the cups alleviates stress, stimulates flow of blood, and in my case, helped remove tension in my upper back and shoulders.  After doing some online research, I booked a session at Saffron & Sage.

As soon...

It's about to be February and I'm sure you're already surrounded by pink, red, and heart decor. Valentine's Day is great and all, but it's the events that lead up to it that I think are the most fun. Whether you want to celebrate Galentine's Day or Valentine's Day, there is an event for you. Bring a bestie or a date and enjoy these curated happenings in San Diego:

1. Heart Succulents + Sips Date Night

What: Valentine's Day works...

Girl friend dates are very needed. However, I'm not always up for going out to a bar or expensive dinner on a Saturday night. Here are a few ideas to enjoy some girl time with your gal pals, while still saving some money:

1. Take a Long Walk: There are tons of cool neighborhoods to explore. Walk and talk. It's a great way to get some conversations going while still getting in those steps. Some neighborhoods I would recommend ar...
